ScottishPower Race for Life Terms and Conditions - £1,000 Hotel Gift Voucher Prize Draw

Whereas

Eligible Participants have elected to enter the ScottishPower promotion, the following terms shall apply.

  1. Promoter
    • This promotion is run by ScottishPower Energy Retail Limited, a company registered in Scotland (Company number SC190287, VAT number GB 659 3720 08), of 320 St. Vincent Street, Glasgow, G2 5AD (“ScottishPower”).
  2. Prize Draw
    1. The title of the promotion is the “£1,000 Hotel Gift Voucher Prize Draw” (the “Prize Draw”).
    2. The Prize Draw is free to enter for all Eligible Participants (see the eligibility criteria set out below at Clause 4).
    3. All Eligible Participants who choose to enter the Prize Draw will have the chance to win the Prize.
    4. All Eligible Participants may enter the Prize Draw multiple times. However, in the process of selection, only one valid email address per participant will be considered for the draw.
  3. The Prize
    1. The prize is a £1,000 gift voucher that can be used for hotel stays available on the Hotelgift website www.hotelgift.com (the “Prize”).
    2. The Prize Winner must redeem the hotel stay directly through Hotelgift and cannot redeem the prize directly with any hotel.
    3. The voucher is valid for 2 years from date of issue.
    4. The Prize is not negotiable or transferable. No cash or credit alternative will be available for the prize on offer.
    5. The Prize is subject to all of Hotelgift’s standard gift voucher Terms and Conditions: https://www.hotelgift.com/en/terms-conditions/.
  4. Eligibility
    1. The Prize Draw is open to supporters of Race for Life 2026 events across the UK who meet the following eligibility criteria (“Eligible Participants”). Eligible Participants must:
      1. be resident in Great Britain;
      2. be 18 years of age, or over;
      3. have provided us with their full name and a valid email address; and
      4. not be employees, members of family or any other associated persons of ScottishPower, the wider Iberdrola group, Race for Life, Cancer Research, or any other associated partner organisations professionally connected with the promotion.
  5. How to Enter
    1. The promotion will run for the period beginning 24 March 2026 and shall continue until 23:59 (GMT) on 31 July 2026 (the “Entry Period”).
    2. Eligible Participants who visit www.scottishpower.co.uk/raceforlife must submit the personal details requested on the webpage and accept the Terms and Conditions of this Prize Draw within the Entry Period, to be entered into the Prize Draw.
  6. Winners
    1. One winner (the "Prize Winner") will be drawn at random by a verifiably random computer process on 7 August 2026 (the “Draw Date”).
    2. The Prize Winner will be contacted by email directly by ScottishPower, who will arrange delivery of the Prize to the Prize Winner via email.
    3. ScottishPower must make available information that indicates that a valid draw took place. In order to comply with this, ScottishPower may be required to share the last name of the Prize Winner. This information can be obtained by emailing cancerresearchuk@scottishpower.com.
    4. If a Prize Winner objects to their name being made available, they should email ScottishPower at cancerresearchuk@scottishpower.com with "Hotel Gift Prize Draw objection" in the subject line as soon as possible, within 14 days of the Draw Date. Please note that even if an objection is received, it is still a requirement to provide this information to the Advertising Standards Authority if so requested.
    5. ScottishPower may require the Prize Winner to provide proof of identity and age (e.g. passport, driving licence or similar) before awarding any prize. If a Prize Winner is unable to provide adequate proof of identity and age, ScottishPower may withdraw the Prize and select another Prize Winner using the process described at Clause 6.1.
  7. Claiming the Prize
    1. ScottishPower will contact the Prize Winner using the email address supplied by the participant when they entered. The Prize must be claimed by the selected Prize Winner by 23:59 (GMT) on 21 August 2026 and ScottishPower will make reasonable efforts to contact the Prize Winner between the Draw Date and this deadline.
    2. If it has not been possible to contact the Prize Winner by the deadline, the Prize will be deemed unclaimed and redrawn in accordance with the procedure set out in Clause 6 above.
    3. Once the Prize Winner has claimed the Prize, ScottishPower will aim to provide the Prize to them within 14 days of the date on which the Prize is claimed by the Prize Winner. Where this is not possible, ScottishPower will liaise with the Prize Winner to ensure they receive the Prize as soon as reasonably possible.
    4. ScottishPower does not accept any responsibility if a Prize Winner is unable to claim their Prize, nor responsibility for any loss of the Prize.
    5. As per Hotelgift’s own gift voucher Terms and Conditions, if the Prize Winners’ booking costs more than the gift card value (£1,000), the Prize Winner can elect to pay the difference. If the Prize Winner doesn’t use the full value, the remaining balance stays valid for future bookings.
    6. Bookings do not include additional services (e.g., breakfast, parking, or special requests) unless explicitly specified. However, you can arrange these services directly with the hotel after booking, if permitted by the hotel.
  8. Limitation of Liability
    1. Insofar as permitted by law, ScottishPower will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate a Prize Winner or accept any liability for any loss, damage, disappointment, personal injury or death occurring as a result of claiming or redeeming the Prize, notwithstanding where it has been caused directly by negligence on the part of ScottishPower. Nothing in this clause will affect the statutory rights of a party who seeks to rely on these Terms and Conditions.
  9. Data Protection and Publicity
    1. ScottishPower will process personal data of entrants for the purposes of the Prize Draw and to address any queries about the Prize Draw. More information on how ScottishPower manages your personal data, including how to exercise your data protection rights, is available in the Privacy Information Notice at www.scottishpower.co.uk/privacy.
    2. A marketing agency working on behalf of ScottishPower will help to administer and operate the Prize Draw. ScottishPower has arrangements in place to ensure your details are used and safeguarded in line with the data protection laws.
    3. ScottishPower will retain the appropriate evidence for audit and review purposes for a period of two years after the Prize Draw.
  10. General
    1. If there is any reason to believe that any Eligible Participant has breached these Terms and Conditions, ScottishPower may, at ScottishPower’s sole discretion, reserve the right to exclude that Eligible Participant from the Prize Draw or any other prize draw or competition administered by ScottishPower.
    2. ScottishPower reserves the right to void, suspend, cancel, or amend the Prize Draw where it becomes necessary to do so with immediate effect and without liability to Eligible Participants.
    3. In the event of circumstances outside the reasonable control of ScottishPower, or otherwise where fraud, abuse, and/or an error (human or computer) affects or could affect the proper operation of this promotion, and only where circumstances make this unavoidable, ScottishPower reserves the right to cancel or amend the promotion or these Terms and Conditions, at any stage, but will always endeavour to minimise the effect to participants to avoid undue disappointment.
    4. These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by the laws of Scotland and anyone who seeks to rely on these Terms and Conditions submits to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Scotland.
    5. These Prize Draw Terms and Conditions are effective from 24 March 2026.
